PROJECTS

The female-fronted band needed a design that could stand out in different formats and sizes, especially when used as thumbnails for smartphone apps and streaming services like Spotify. This was achieved with a bold and easily scalable design, incorporating a color scheme reminiscent of a department store’s cosmetics department.

Working for Talking Stick Resort and Casino Arizona was an immense undertaking. While separate properties, they share common design features and both operate under the umbrella of the Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community.

For their internet presence, I worked in conjunction with the talented team of marketers, designers, and developers at the Riester advertising agency. The websites were built on two platforms: a CMS system for frontend content and iHotelier providing the reservation functionality.

Each property consisted of constantly varying entertainment and several unique restaurants, all requiring unique collateral including digital signage, ticketing, print menus, way-finding, and kiosks.

Digital Signage was integrated into gaming systems with technology provided by Paltronics, as well as Yesco for roadside and outdoor screens.

Leslie’s Pool Supplies is a successful chain consisting of over 1,000 brick-and-mortar stores nationwide. I worked with the company to establish a direct mail and e-commerce presence that worked synergistically with their retail shops. My design approach focused on cleanliness due to the nature of the business. I accomplished this by keeping the negative space largely white and pristine while incorporating their trademark blue when elements required color.

Fairytale Brownies is a successful seller of gourmet chocolate brownies and possibly the first retailer to sell perishable goods online. The seasonal, gift-giving, nature of the business provided numerous challenges and opportunities. Their trademark purple was emphasized along with numerous design elements created by the uniquely talented Elisabeth Spitalny. The design approach was to make the experience elegant and equally whimsical, all while keeping the focus on the savory treats.
